Generally speaking, a composite material is one where two or more distinct, structurally complementary materials are combined to produce a finished material with structural and functional properties that are not present in any one individual component. With Valtekz composite fabrics, the whole is indeed greater than the sum of the parts.
At Valtekz, we use a combination of materials to create composite fabrics that look and feel like the world's most luxurious exotic hides, yet they are more durable, easier to work with and easier to clean.
Valtekz composite fabrics are made from PU (polyurethane) and/or PVC (polyvinylchloride), with a backing made of cotton, polyester or viscose. While PU is commonly recognized as the standard bearer in environmentally friendly synthetics fabrics, it should be noted that our PVC is manufactured under the strictest of European environmental laws and regulations.
All Valtekz composite fabrics are manufactured in Western Europe, where our German and Italian manufacturing platforms serve as benchmarks for craftsmanship and efficiency worldwide. Each of our respective manufacturing platforms represents a high water mark in this industry, with our German product literally serving as the absolute benchmark of quality worldwide. |
